Henry Scholz is Director of Commercial Real Estate Services at MKB. A REALTOR since obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 1983 from Virginia Tech, Henry celebrates 35 years of commitment to his clients, community and profession. Prior to joining the MKB ownership team in 2012, Henry was a Senior Associate Broker with Hall Associates, Inc. for 24 years. Offering buyer/seller and tenant/landlord representation, as well as consulting services, his experience allow his clients to achieve their goals in the most advantageous manner. Henry believes that “reliable service, consistent results and accountability to all parties in a transaction form the foundation for my successful relationships.” With his degree in Economics and his Real Estate Broker designation from the Commonwealth of Virginia, Henry has continued his education with the CCIM Institute (Certified Commercial Investment Member) with the following courses:

A past president of the Roanoke Valley Association of REALTORS, Henry also served on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Association of REALTORS from 2007-2013. He has served on the Commercial Committee of the National Association of REALTORS as well as the Legislative and Regulatory Committee. Henry was honored to be named REALTOR of the Year by the Roanoke Valley Association of REALTORS in 2012.
Henry, through his partnership with CB Richard Ellis, represented the Commonwealth of Virginia for 10 years in identification and negotiation of leases for state agencies throughout southwest Virginia. Most recently Henry was part of the CBRE team that aided in a build-to-suit for Allstate Insurance for 78,000 square feet for their Roanoke headquarters and in the lease of an additional 45,000 square feet in downtown Roanoke. Henry has also provided real estate and consultation services by contract to the City of Roanoke.
Henry continues to be active in his community. He served on the City of Roanoke Planning Commission from March 2003 until December 2014; serving two years as chair of the Commission. From 2006-2016 he served on the Board of Directors of the Council of Community Services, which operates 8 separate community service programs with a yearly operating and program budget exceeding $6,000,000. He served as Chair of the Board of Directors in 2014 and 2015. From 2015 through 2017 Henry served on the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of Western Virginia. Henry was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Virginia Tech Program in Real Estate in 2015. Since 2003 Henry as served the Juvenile and Domestic Court for the 23rd Judicial District as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children. Henry has served on numerous projects including the steering committee of the Partnership for a Livable Roanoke Valley that seeks to promote economic opportunity and a greater quality of life for all Roanoke Valley residents through the development of the Valley’s first coordinated regional plan.
